My entry:

Holi

A Hindu religious festival celebrated as a festival of colours in spring, on the Phalguna Purnima (Full Moon), which comes in February or March.

Holi is celebrated by people throwing scented coloured powder (Raas Rang) and perfume at each other.

Holi lowers the strictness of social norms, which include gaps between age, gender, status, and caste. Together, the rich and poor, women and men, enjoy each other's presence fully on this day.

Sunnyvale · California · USA | 2013
