Capturing Elusive Moments that Last a Lifetime

At the dawn of the millennium, I rediscovered photography as the sublimation of my creative soul, my wanderlust and my compassion for worthy causes. It allows me to capture elusive moments when light and subject come together and spark an evocative expression.

I always endeavor to connect with the soul and the energy of the people or the place, hoping to capture the moment that lasts a lifetime. It would be my greatest pleasure to be able to share those moments with you.

My images can be evocative or eclectic, vibrant or serene, eye-witness or surreal, stark or dreamy. In all of them, I try to appeal to the emotions and imagination while experimenting with pattern, texture, shape, form and color.

I first started taking black and white photographs at eight when my father gave me his old Rolleiflex twin-lens reflex camera. At ten, I made my first journey by train to Guangzhou, China. At fifteen, I boarded my first plane to Osaka, Japan and took my first color photographs. Unbeknownst to me at the time, that was the genesis for my life-long passion for travel and photography.

Since then, I have journeyed to the seven continents, taking lots of photographs along the way, using various films, slides and digital media. I have been inspired by the world's awesome beauty and dazzling diversity of people, landscape and architecture.

Lately, I have spent more time on documentary photography, exploring the inner cities and the plight of the homeless, migrants, peace movement, rural China, to name a few of the many worthy causes, hoping to raise people's awareness.

When not traveling with my camera, I dream about my next journey and
the photos I am going to take.
